FAQs

How is PEMF Complete different from other companies?

All our machines are manufactured by PEMF Systems, a leader in PEMF technology for over 20 years. They focus on quality and safety, achieving multiple certifications, including Intertek, AAMI, IEC, CSA, TÜV, SÜD, and ISO safety testing. PEMF Systems also meets Canadian Medical Device Standards, ensuring unparalleled quality in PEMF machines. Our solid state machines are the only ones that have the low power Schumann resonance running in the background.

What is the difference between analog and digital PEMF machines?

The key difference between analog and digital PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) machines is the way the pulse is generated.. Here’s a breakdown of their distinctions:

Analog PEMF Machines:

  • Pulse Sensation: The pulse from an analog machine feels sharper, akin to the tip of a pencil poking your muscle.
  • Mechanism: Analog machines have a capacitor that stores power, which is then discharged into a spark chamber. The spark chamber contains a positive electrode and a ground. As the dial is moved, it changes the distance of the gap. The wider the gap, the more energy required to jump the gap, resulting in a slower pulse and stronger intensity.
  • Function: The spark creates the energy that travels to the attachment loop, when the circle is closed, the magnetic field is completed and the PEMF signal is delivered to the body.
  • Gauss penetrates approximately 14” at maximum intensity.

Digital PEMF Machines:

  • Pulse Sensation: Digital machines produce a duller, smoother pulse, similar to the feeling of the eraser of a pencil poking the muscle. There is no scientific evidence that the result is any different.
  • Mechanism: In place of a spark chamber, digital machines use a controller and electronic switch to manage the power flow. The capacitor stores energy and, once the set power level is reached, the switch releases the energy into the attachment loop.
  • Function: The energy from the digital system is used to form the PEMF signal, just as in an analog machine, but without the sharp sensation and has the second program called the Schumann resonance running in the background
  • Gauss penetrates approximately 8” at maximum Intensity.

Key Considerations:

  • Therapeutic Effect: Both analog and digital machines produce high-powered PEMF that penetrates the body, increases blood oxygen levels, and stimulates cellular metabolism. The core difference is the user experience — whether one prefers the more vigorous, sharper feeling of the analog or the smoother, duller sensation of the digital.

Which is Better?

  • Preference-Based: The choice between analog and digital depends on the user’s preference regarding the intensity and sensation of the pulse. The therapeutic results are essentially the same.

Power Level and Size:

  • Larger Machines (Elite, Gemini): These machines have higher power levels, making them suitable for practitioners or clinical setting use where multiple sessions are required in a day. They deliver the same results with shorter session times. Best for immediate pain relief.
  • Smaller Machines (Regen-800, Armor, Sozo): These are designed for personal use and may require longer session times but still deliver the same therapeutic effects. These are ideal for individuals seeking to use PEMF at home or small business. Best for cellular regeneration.

In conclusion, both types of machines are highly effective, and the choice between analog and digital depends on personal preference for the feeling of the pulses. Additionally, machine size impacts power and session duration, with larger machines being more suited for commercial use and smaller ones for home use.

Are there any contraindications?

Using PEMF on individuals with battery operated devices that cannot be removed, should be considered and evaluated on a case by case basis. PEMF is also not recommended for those who are pregnant or undergoing chemotherapy. Always consult with your physician.

What should I expect during a PEMF session?

You may feel a general sense of well-being. The response varies based on diet, hydration, lifestyle, and activity levels.

  • Some may feel mild fatigue initially, as the body detoxes. To ease this, drink plenty of fluids.
  • Chronic conditions might require more sessions for noticeable results.

What is the difference between TENS and PEMF?

  • TENS: Delivers low-voltage electrical currents to nerves via electrodes on the skin, primarily for pain relief.
  • PEMF: Uses electromagnetic fields to promote cellular repair and wellness. It penetrates deeper into the body, working from the inside out to heal on a cellular level.

Can PEMF be used with other wellness modalities?

Yes, PEMF enhances the performance of other modalities by improving cellular function and making medications or supplements more bioavailable.
However, avoid combining detox-heavy modalities on the same day to prevent overloading the liver, kidneys, and other elimination organs.

Why high-intensity PEMF vs. low-intensity?

PEMF works at both high and low intensities, depending on individual needs:

  • High-intensity PEMF: Creates stronger tissue stimulation and a noticeable muscle twitch, most effective in pain relief and movement of inflamation.
  • Low-intensity PEMF: Best for cellular regeneration and chronic issues.  All our machines operate at ultra-low frequencies for safety and effectiveness.

How long does it take to see results from PEMF therapy?

Results vary depending on individual health and treatment goals. Some people notice improvements after the first session, such as better sleep, while others may require multiple sessions for more significant changes.

What should I remove before a PEMF session?

Remove heavy jewelry, watches, cell phones, credit cards, key fobs or any electronic device. Keep these items 18 inches away from the coils while pulsing during a session.

Why PEMF the whole body if the problem is in one area?

The entire body is electrical, and full-body PEMF sessions help optimize overall cellular function and address the body as a whole, supportingthe recovery of compromised areas more effectively.

Is PEMF safe for everyone to use?

PEMF therapy is safe for all ages.  Always consult your physician if you have concerns.

What are the benefits of PEMF therapy?

PEMF therapy offers numerous benefits, including but not limited to:

  1. Increased energy and cellular function
  2. Improved microcirculation and oxygenation
  3. Detoxification support
  4. Enhanced immunity
  5. Pain relief and better mobility
  6. Accelerated healing and regeneration
  7. Reduced stress and improved sleep
  8. Enhanced hormonal balance
  9. Improved cell communication
  10. Overall integration with other wellness practices

Are all PEMF devices the same?

Absolutely not. Devices differ in waveform design, intensity levels, and manufacturing quality. Our machines are built with top safety certifications and a proven track record of reliability as well as implementing ongoing discoveries in research.

What is the FDA-approved use for PEMF therapy?

PEMF therapy has FDA approval for:

  • Healing nonunion bone fractures
  • Muscle stimulation and urinary incontinence
  • Cervical fusion in high-risk patients
  • Depression and anxiety
  • Brain cancer

Note: These approvals are for informational purposes only for PEMF Therapy and the user must know their credentials in relation to diagnosing, prescribing or treating pathology.

I have used PEMF in conjunction with my normal protocol for 2 colic cases.  Both were headed for surgery in my opinion. I feel PEMF really helped avoid surgery in both cases. I have also incorporated PEMF into my protocol for treating difficult cases in legs and feet. I believe PEMF improves my success rate in difficult cases when applied correctly.
